A Taste of Sauvignon Blanc

A Taste of Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is a white grape variety known for it's green herbal flavors, classic crisp & dry characteristics.
It is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world.

It goes well with chicken, tofu, fish dishes with herb sauces , and pairs well with Thai and Vietnamese cuisines.

  • Rickety Bridge Sauvignon Blanc : Vibrant and zesty with aromas of pear, gooseberry and passion fruit layered with subtle mineral tones. Full flavoured with a rich mid-palate, peach and litchi flavours which linger on the finish.
  • Ghost Corner Wild Ferment Sauvignon Blanc : Sourced from vineyards close to Cape Agulhas, Africa's Southernmost tip, these grapes were naturally fermented, giving enticing aromas of fleshy white pear and quince with an illusion of sweetness. Ten months barrel maturation gives a creamy, full-palate with beautiful length.
  • Darling Cellars Reserve Bush Vine Sauvignon Blanc : Initially a subdued bouquet opens up to aromas of green fig, asparagus, freshly cut grass and tropical fruit such as watermelon, passion fruit and pineapple. These flavours follow on the palate and are supported by a vibrant acidity that keeps the palate fresh.
  • Springfield Estate Life From Stone Sauvignon Blanc : Stones have no flavour that they impart on wine - they simply make the soil less. If there is less soil the vine produces more concentrated fruit, the same happens with old vines, also when vines are planted in high density. As the rock opposes the vine so does a nearby plant; and age limit growth and crop. Life from Stone has the good fortune to have all these 3 concentrating factors in its favor – thus the unmatched complexity of a great wine.
  • Raka Sauvignon Blanc : Pale straw colour with a lavish bouquet of grapefruit, kumquat, granadilla and a touch of gooseberries. These characters follow through to the palate complemented by mineral tones true to the decomposed sandstone in which the Sauvignon Blanc is cultivated. Crisp green apple finish.
  • Diemersdal Sauvignon Blanc : This vibrant, classically styled Sauvignon Blanc presents a brilliant lemon-lime colour. The nose is complex with an array of tropical fruit, ripe figs and gooseberries. These crisp flavours repeat in the mouth, along with a mineral character followed by a long fruity finish. The distinctive aromas support a wonderfully balanced palate, presenting purity of ripe fruit, coupled with a lingering harmonious finish
