A Taste of Warwick

  • Norma Ratcliffe, Warwick's first winemaker, was (literally) the first lady winemaker to operate commercially in South Africa. Today, their CEO Christiane von Arnim carries the baton for career women everywhere. And by “baton”, we mean another bottle of these great wines!

  • First Lady Dry Rosé: Enticing notes of strawberries and cream, herbs de Provence and peaches on the nose lead you into more floral notes, winter melon, and strawberry on the palate. All are supported well by a creamy texture and the finish is beautifully dry and elegant, with a lift of acidity.
  • First Lady Sauvignon Blanc: Zest, elegance, flair, and a citric wit. Qualities that apply to our savvy bee and to our current First Lady, CEO Christiane Von Armin. This bottle should be the first lady to exit your picnic basket on any summer outing.
  • First Lady Chardonnay: The First Lady Chardonnay is 96% fresh and breezy, with 4% oaky formality - just enough to let you know that it would be a mistake to underestimate her! It’s our tribute to the working women, who understand the energy it takes to be tough in the boardroom but calm around the house.
  • First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon: Our original First Lady, Norma Ratcliffe was (literally) the first lady winemaker to operate commercially in South Africa. Today, our CEO Christiane von Arnim carries the baton for career women everywhere. And by “baton”, we mean another bottle of this delectably juicy cab!
  • First Lady Pinotage: The First Lady Pinotage is a light and lively number that isn’t shy of a bit of spice. In that sense, it’s not unlike our legendary First Lady, Normal Ratcliffe, who became the first woman to serve as Chairperson for the prestigious Cape Winemakers’ Guild. Her legend lives on in this range.
  • Three Cape Ladies: The Three Cape Ladies was the first Cape Blend ever bottled. It was also James Bond’s seductive wine of choice in the 007 book Carte Blanche, published in 2011. If you now feel the need to use a Sean Connery voice whenever you say “Three Cape Ladies”, we completely understand.
