CONDITIONS OF SALE

  • You must be over 18 years of age to buy wine
  • All wines are sold by the case, except in the case ( excuse the pun ) of gifts
  • We try our best to ensure that we send the vintage you order. If the producer is out of stock, and we can not find the wine anywhere else, we will contact you for instructions on whether to send a later vintage, or refund the order.
  • All prices include VAT
  • All prices include delivery to your door in South Africa.
    Except for gifts, the minimum order is 12 bottles - we will however ship 6 bottles with a minimal shipping surcharge.

Payments

  • What payment options do we offer?
    • We accept Visa, MasterCard, EFTs and Direct deposits.
  • Can I place an order and pay on delivery?
    • Unfortunately, this is not possible. An order must be paid before it can be fully processed.
  • What do you accept as proof of the payment?
    • Proof of payment from your bank.
  • How long will you keep my order if I haven’t paid yet?
    • We will keep your order for 7 days. If you haven’t paid by then the order will be removed and you will have to place a new order.
  • I’m having problems with my payments, please help me

  • How do I cancel my order if I have already paid?
    • Please contact us as soon as possible at shop@wine.co.za or call +27 21 851 2737 so that we can sort this out for you.

 Shipping and Delivery

  • How can I track my order?
    • When the order is shipped you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us with all the shipping details inside. You can track your shipping on the website of the courier with the provided waybill number.
  • How much does shipping cost?
    • Shipping is included in the price if you order 12 bottles or more.
      However on 6 bottles orders we charge a small surcharge. The gifts and specials are shipping free.
  • Can I add special delivery instructions?
    • Yes, special delivery instructions can be added in the checkout.
  • Can you make my order more special?
    • If you have a special request for you order, please contact us at shop@wine.co.za or call +27 21 851 2737 so that we can arrange this with you. Or you can give us the details during checkout by completing the gift or delivery instructions boxes.
  • What day will my order be delivered?
    • We try and deliver all orders within 7 days - however some outlying areas might take a bit longer.
  • Do you deliver after hours, on weekends or on public holidays?
    • We do deliver after hours and on weekends. Please specify this in your delivery instructions so we can arrange it for you. You will be charged extra for delivery. Unfortunately, we do not deliver on public holidays.
  • One or more of my bottles broke during the delivery, what now?
    • If you receive your order and noticed that one or more bottles have been broken, then please write the broken bottles details down on the waybill you sign. We will make sure that you will be refunded or we will send you replacement wine.
  • The case broke during the delivery, what now?
    • If the whole case broke during the delivery, please do not accept it. Notify us if you have this problem so we can send you a replacement as soon as possible.
  • How do I place an order with international shipping?
    • Please specify if you want international delivery in the special delivery instructions.
  • What are the costs of international shipping and where do you ship to?
    • This depends on your location. Please specify if you want international delivery in the special delivery instructions. We will then email you a quote of the international shipping charge.
  • How long does it take for an international order to be delivered?
    • The wines will be delivered to your door. It will take approximately 10-21 days. All charges (duties, clearing, taxes) as well as insurance are included.

 Vintages

  • I received the wrong vintage, what do I do now?
    • We would like to apologize if you received the wrong vintage. We do check all vintages before we ship them. If we don’t have the vintage you want, we will contact you and inform you which vintage we have. If you don’t want it, then we will refund you. If you do want it anyway we will ship it to you. If you have received the wrong vintage please contact us at shop@wine.co.za or call +27 21 851 2737 and mention your order number, so that we can help you.

 Gifts & Specials

  • Can I add a special message on a gift or special?
    • Yes, you can add your gift message in the special gift message box when checking out.
  • How do you include my special message in a gift or special?
    • Your message will be written on a gift card which will be put into the wine box.
  • I would like a wrapped box, is this possible?
    • If you like a wrapped box, then please indicate this in the delivery instructions box or contact us at shop@wine.co.za or call +27 21 851 2737. We will work this out with you.               

Return Policy

  • I’m not happy with my purchase. Can I get a refund?
    • If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at shop@wine.co.za or call +27 21 851 2737 so we can arrange collection and refund.
